Don’t get close to me or you’ll burn

Jalila. Italian. 25. Fangirl extraordinaire.

I am an intelligent, eloquent, well-mannered young woman who just so happens to say “fuck” a lot.

Do you believe in love at first sight? There’s this man and I love him. At least, I think I do. I can’t stop thinking about him. He’s so intelligent it’s like he’s burning. And he’s so cool but not really. And he’s fit. Oh, he is really fit. And I can’t stop thinking about him. I’m a sensible girl, I always have been. I’ve worked hard to get the job I have and I’ve got plans but he just rides all over everything. It’s like I’m Molly Hooper, in control. ‘Little Miss Perfect’ as my mates call me. Until he walks into the room and then suddenly I’m this little mouse. He turns me into a mouse. [x]

well, damn.

Ain’t it great in reverse?

*sobbing* It’s beautiful :’)

Yes. I needed this today.

Let’s play a game. Let’s play murder.

Tattoolock. Translock. Both. Yes.

I like the idea of Sherlock having tats which very vaguely evoke armor, to match his ‘into battle’ theme. Most importantly, some sort of ‘plate’ over the sternum to guard the heart, with the skull motif as a warning against letting it rule the head. (Well I thought it was a little neat; shut up.)

BBC Sherlock in the original Victorian era

tags: sherlock,
“[Mycroft’s] less mad than Sherlock. He hasn’t got the heart of a poet, which is what Sherlock has, really.

I think the most revealing exchange about Mycroft and Sherlock is at the end of A Scandal in Belgravia, when he says, ‘Sherlock has the brain of a philosopher or a scientist, but he likes to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?’

There’s tremendous romance in Sherlock Holmes. He needs to be fighting crime and fighting bad guys. He doesn’t admit that to himself, but there are plenty of opportunities for him to go and think elsewhere … but this is what he chooses to do.

So [Mycroft] doesn’t have that drive for color or glamour. Mycroft just wants to be alone and precise and do all his thinking.

No, he hasn’t allowed anyone to get close to him at all … except he’s quite close to his brother, from the very start — that’s not something that’s changed — from the very, very beginning of A Study in Pink.

[Mycroft’s] trying to look out for him. He’s worried about him. He’s worried about what his junkie little brother might do next, as you would be in real life. If your little brother or something wanted to be a detective—not a junkie anymore, now a detective, because crime is really fascinating—you’d be worried. He’s worried, that’s all.”

Steven Moffat, when asked about Mycroft’s ability (or not) to connect with other people.

Anon requested: Lestrade’s different names

Fun fact: Arthur Conan Doyle never gave Lestrade’s first name. It was always Inspector G. Lestrade which is why Sherlock in BBC Sherlock can’t seem to recall Papa Lestrade’s first name. Way to go, BBC!
